About the experience

What can I expect from the event? MODE by Flickr (a.k.a MODE Festival or just MODE) is a three-day, multi-media, multi-venue photography festival in downtown Minneapolis. Each day there will be workshops, concerts, talks, demos, screenings, and meetups, all designed to leave photographers creatively inspired and more connected to their craft and community.
Where is the event located? Daily schedules will vary by venue and programming, and the full hours-by-day lineup will drop alongside the official schedule.
Locations:
  • Main Festival: Loring Park, Berger Fountain, Loring Greenway, Minneapolis, MN 55403, USA.
  • Classes Venue: The Marquette Hotel, 710 S Marquette Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55402
  • The Hub: Nicollet Mall between 6th and 12th St. (This is the free daytime programming area open to the public.)
  • MODE After Dark: The Alley Project (15 1/2 N 9th St, Minneapolis, MN 55403).
Does the festival take place in an indoor or outdoor venue? This festival will be both indoors and outdoors. In the event of unforeseen weather, we will notify you via email at the same address linked to your Fever account. When in doubt, please remember to check your spam folder too.
How long does the experience last? For you to have an estimate, people usually spend 4 hours per day at this experience.
What are the daily start and end times for the event? The daily festival schedule is the same across all three days:
  • 10:00 AM - Festival begins
  • 4:00 PM- Loring Park opens for music
  • 9:30 PM - Gates close (Last entry)
  • 10:00 PM - Festival ends

For MODE After Dark ticket holders, the late-night programming runs from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM on Friday and Saturday night.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase? Yes, there will be multiple concession offerings throughout the festival.
Is there parking available? There will be no official MODE parking, but there are plenty of local parking garages within walking distance to the festival. We strongly encourage using ride share apps where possible.
Will there be additional dates added? Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be extra dates. Please refer to the experience page for updated information on availability, as those are the confirmed dates and timings.
Will there be interaction with the talent? Yes, guests will have the opportunity to meet the photographers from the line-up and participate in interactive workshops and classes with them. Make sure to sign up for programming on the MODE app.
Will there be merchandise for sale? Yes, there will be merch available in the HUB at MODE Shop and MODE Sound during the nightly concerts.

About Passes

Where can I get passes? In the Fever App, available on Google Play and the Apple Store
On the Fever website.
Can I purchase passes at the door? We will have a box office on site. However, there is no guarantee that tickets will still be available, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance. You can purchase tickets in the Fever App or on the Fever website.
Can I transfer my passes to another person? Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Do I need to print my passes? No, printed tickets are not required. You will just need to present your digital QR code upon arrival to pick up your official festival wristband. More detailed information regarding the wristband pickup location and hours will be shared closer to the event date!
You can locate your digital QR code in two places:
  • The Fever App: Go to the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase.
  • Your Email: Your QR code is also included in your initial purchase confirmation email.
I can't find my pass. What should I do? You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
Can I change the date of my pass? Are refunds allowed? For this event, all sales are final and tickets can’t be refunded, changed or modified. For more information, please refer to our T\&Cs.
Can I make a group booking? If you would like to book for a large group, please contact support@modefestival.com with your preferred attendance date and the size of your group.
Do you offer press passes? If you would like a press pass, please contact us at press@modefestival.com.
How do I redeem my Flickr Pro benefit? Eligible ticket holders will receive a separate redemption link and instructions in their ticket confirmation email after purchase. General Admission ticket holders are eligible for 50% off a Flickr Pro, and VIP ticket holders are eligible for one complimentary year of Flickr Pro (new Flickr Pro users only).

Access to the event

How do I schedule keynotes, workshops, photowalks, and other programming? Programming registration is not open yet. The full sign-up details will be released closer to the event. We recommend creating a free Flickr account now so you can stay up to date. We'll share programming announcements, registration details, and other important event updates as soon as they're available.
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session? Yes. Please arrive on time for your scheduled session. Late entry policies vary by experience. Late arrivals may be admitted to panels and talks, but late entry is not permitted for hands-on workshops, photo walks, and other reserved experiences.
Is re-entry allowed? Re-entry is allowed for the dates and times included with your pass, and with your MODE wristband.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed? Trained service animals are welcome throughout the festival grounds. Animals must remain under control and on leash or harness at all times. Emotional support or therapy animals are not considered service animals under the ADA.
Is the venue accessible? Yes. MODE Festival is being held in a wheelchair-accessible accessible venue with accessible restrooms and designated seating available. We are committed to making MODE accessible to everyone. If you have a disability and need accommodations, including support for Deaf or hard-of-hearing guests, or blind or low-vision guests, please contact accessibility@modefestival.com by Friday, September 4th, 2026 (two weeks before the festival) so we can prepare accordingly.
What is the bag policy for camera gear and equipment? Reasonably-sized camera/gear bags are allowed and will be inspected upon entry into festival areas. After inspection, each bag will be tagged. Tagged bags can use expedited reentry lanes. If a bag’s tag is missing, lost or broken, the bag will need to be rechecked and re-tagged.
What are the prohibited items at the experience? The following items are prohibited at the Festival (this list is not exhaustive and specific venues may have additional restrictions):
  • Weapons of any kind (firearms, knives, pepper spray, etc.);
  • Illegal substances or drug paraphernalia;
  • Outside food and beverages (unless medically necessary with documentation);
  • Professional recording equipment (without prior written authorization);
  • Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles are not permitted without a permit issued by MODE Festival;
  • Laser pointers;
  • Fireworks or explosives;
  • Glass containers;
  • Pets (except service animals);
  • Tents, canopies, or large umbrellas;
  • Chairs or furniture;
  • Items deemed dangerous by venue security.

Note: Photography equipment including cameras, tripods, and selfie sticks are permitted unless they obstruct other attendees or violate venue-specific rules.
Will there be strobe lights? Yes. Some festival experiences may include strobe lights, flashing lights, or other lighting effects. Guests who are sensitive to these effects or have photosensitive epilepsy should exercise caution.
Will restrooms be available on site? Yes, please ask staff on-site for directions.
Can I take photos or record during the festival? Yes, please! We encourage you to take photos and share them. When taking photos, please be respectful of other people.
Is there a Lost & Found? We would recommend to ask the staff at the venue if they have found your belongings. If you cannot ask them on site, please reach out at support@modefestival.com
Is there an age requirement? Attendees must be 18+ for General Festival access.
